Both Emos and Goths Need To Lighten Up!
Looking around at all of the Emos and Goths in a crowd can be rather depressing to say the least. While the world has burst forth and found tons of colors, they look as if all of the colors have been sucked right out. The tendency to wear mostly black has really done nothing for their image. The idea of always wearing similar outfits really is a bit old at this point.
In theory this caption shouldn’t be necessary…….but dear God these Fall Out Boy fans are seriously ugly!
Additionally, I would really have to question anyone who believes that black is the perfect color to wear everywhere, all of the time, no matter what. Can we possibly inject just a tiny bit of color into this lifestyle? Is there really any reason to sit around looking as if you are always terribly bored?
The more people look at the Emo and Goth crowd the more they start to wonder, are they even real!? Questions are still around and with the increasing pressure for all Emo and Goths to look almost identical, it is becoming a bit difficult for some of us to tell them apart. Just for once, a small amount of originality and color would be really nice. After all, there is no reason to sit around acting as if the world is over and dead already.

k, just to attempt to straighten this up,(which im gettin pretty ticked at this whole site)but goths are people who mix medeival and victorian styles with dark colors, and goths arent sad, theyre angry. emos are just oversensitive people, theyre just generally stereotyped as dark whiny people, theyre just usally hurt cause they realize the reality of the world.

Well, goths usually aren’t depressed despite their fascination with macrabe and death. They enjoy it. A lack of it would probablly make them depressed.

i agree with KatherineXRoyalXDarkness, this site is all wrong emo and goth are totally fucking different emo’s are whiny bitches that need to get over themselfs, and i dont know much about goths there just different. and another thing ive noticed is that most “emos” look all the same not exactly but if you grab at least 20 pictures you can see major simlairties. (cant spell to well)

the reason we wear black and look bored is because of people like you, we havent got much to smile about
emos arent whiny they just are lonely and just dont have anyone similar to turn to for comfort and so whereas the goth would have had freinds earlier in life and would be determind., whereas emos dont really find someone they can communicate whith and we just cant (without help, like goths, break free of the depressing circle of how life can be
for example i have seen an emo who was so ddepressed she was cutting herself to ribbons but then she found people that understood her and helped her (scenes and punks/alternative rockers) now she is much happier and only now and then gets depressed

Theres a big difference between emos and goths, I get annoyed when people call me emo, because I’m not emo, I’m goth, it really ticks me off! I am sure there are people here who experiance this also. I don’t hate emos, infact I don’t mind them at all, but I hate it when people say I’m emo -_-

I find it really funny how people with no knowledge in a particular genre (or two as is the case here), go on about them like they know what they are talking about. I have read the other complaints and i think people have summed up your inaccuracies well:
**Goths and emos are COMPLETELY different, the only similarity is the fact that both tend to wear black clothing.
**Both goths and emos are individual… the picture you have used as an example points this out, not one person in that picture looks the same. And Fall Out Boy fans they defiantly are not. That picture could have been taken up to 25(ish) years ago. Fall Out Boy have consumed barely a spit of time in comparison (thankfully).
**We are not ALL depressed. Some goths and emos may be… but there are depressed people in all walks of life. I for one know that the Gothic lifestyle has given me the strength and self-worth that i sorely needed. Pop music is the opposite (in my opinion), when i see or hear the likes of Girls Aloud and the Pussycat Dolls I wonder how much pressure their fans must be under to look “perfect” with beige skin, no blemishes, really skinny and with big boobs (which is almost impossible without surgery).
**Goths and emos celebrate life and individualism, and know that you can look like whatever the hell you want if it makes you happy, comfortable and reflects how you feel about the world around you.
**You do not even grasp the depths of both “types” of people. I can’t comment on emos, but the amount of sub-genres off of the typical goth is staggering. And you don’t have to fit into a category at all. I know that Im a mixture of everything and anything that grabs my attention, and inspires me.
**I would FINALLY (I know i go on too much) like to add that we do not wear JUST black all the time. For example I went to college today wearing black and white striped trousers, blue platform shoes and a purple t-shirt (don’t get me onto makeup as I’ll be here all night).

I’m wondering why the fuck do people care what color other people wear. I can understand gangs and stuff but I don’t know people whine about black being depressing. Fuck this I’m going on Youtube. Can’t expect anything from an anti Emo blog but ignorance and random posers. I wanna know one website that clearly explains why Emos and Goths or whatever should go to hell. If I found ONE, just ONE website with GOOD reasons I would shoot myself in the fucking head. I mean it too. No use of being a pain in the ass. But just for no reason is not good enough.
