You should care about emo because it's a part of our society, so just accept it. Starting from the beggining here, emos don't listen to screamo and loud thrash music, that would be the metal head stereotype. My Chemical Romance and A Fire Inside are not emo either. Hawthorne Heights actually is. Emos have this more acoustic, soft stuff. The music is amazing. The lyrics are poetic, you actually have to think to listen to them. Think if you were stuck in a position so horrid, that you had to cut yourself just to get rid of the pain in your mind. I use to be emo, and it's an addiction. If you are cutting yourself, then it is probably gonna be really hard to stop. emo's are awesome, i love them . but seriosly if people are just gonna take the time to make fun of emos, then go get a life!

EMO is being sad about life, depressed even. you're made fun of so you cut yourself and use black clothes and long sleeves as a cover. If you're EMO, you probably hate your parents and feel like theres not a hope in the world. you wait for death to overtake your soul because it has sort of a grace to you. i do admit emos cut, but it gives them relief of the pain that they've expirienced. i know that sounds weird, but when you've been through the pain and suffering that EMOs have, you'd understand. It's like when you're going through major physical pain and you do something to take your mind off of it. You forget about the pain for a while. that's all EMOs want is to forget the pain in there lives for one moment, even if it means scaring on your wrist. Yes EMOs are depressed, but not all are suicidal. if they were, there'd be none left. EMO's love writing poetry, and based on the poem on the right, some have the misconception that EMO guys are all gay or bi. THATS NOT TRUE!!!! My BF is EMO(so am i if you havent guessed) and he certaintly not!! I HATE YOU DAN! you're nothing but a poser and you and many other wannabes ruin the reputation of real emos around the country. POSER EMO POETRY SUCKS! Take a look at the real
